The Importance of Regularly Cleaning & Servicing Water Tanks
Keeping your rainwater tank cleaned and serviced regularly is important to enhance the lifespan of your system and parts whilst ensuring it runs optimally.

If rainwater tanks and their component parts are not cleaned regularly, the following issues may arise:

1. Dirt, debris and sediment buildup in filters can lead to cloudy, dirty water
2. If the tank’s filter isn't kept clean, odours can form in the tank from the fresh water travelling through the dirty filter.
3. A dirty filter can also allow dirt and sediment to reach your tank, so to enhance the performance of your filter its important to keep it clean.
4. In dryer months, debris and general build-up around the probe and mains top-up can cause the system to fail to top-up in drier months, drying out your system.
5. Pumps can become damaged and may need to be replaced due to damage caused by blocked suction pipes and debris in the impeller
